Start the Pressure Washer Safely

To make pull-starting a gas pressure washer easier and safer, always pull the trigger on the wand first. This releases any built-up pressure in the system, reducing the resistance on the engine's pull cord. Crucially, avoid placing the pressure washer nozzle directly on concrete or other hard surfaces when starting. The powerful initial spray from a rotating nozzle can cause it to spin aggressively, potentially leaving a noticeable clean spot or gouge on the surface. Instead, set the wand on a soft surface like grass or a piece of wood, or hold it in the air, pointing it safely away from any objects or people.
