COW'S SHOCKING EXPERIENCE!
What happens here
Introduce the cows to the electric fence by allowing them to be naturally curious. The presenter demonstrates using temporary step-in posts, specifically pigtail type and multi-clip type posts from Strain Right, with polybraid wire. The polybraid is easy to install by simply running it through the top clip of the posts. This electric fence acts as a 'psychological barrier' rather than a physical one. Cows will receive a mild shock when they investigate, quickly learning to respect the boundary. The aim is for the cows to learn to differentiate safe grazing areas from restricted ones.
Goal: Train livestock to respect temporary electric fencing for rotational grazing.
