What happens here
Begin by partially driving two long exterior deck screws into the pre-drilled pilot holes in the wooden base. These will serve as the primary attachment points for mounting the entire pod to a tree. Next, position the solar panel's mounting arm onto the wooden board and securely attach it using shorter exterior deck screws. Ensure the mounting arm is stable. Then, place the camera's mounting bracket on the board, leaving enough space for the camera and solar panel, and screw it down with shorter exterior deck screws.
Goal: Secure the mounting hardware for the camera and solar panel to the wooden base.
