Pre-Paint Edges (Cutting In)

What happens here

Before rolling the main ceiling area, 'cut in' the edges where the ceiling meets the walls. Use a smaller 9-inch paint roller equipped with edge fluff (extra nap material on the ends) or a standard 9-inch roller. This specialized roller allows you to roll directly into the corners and edges without needing to tape, creating a clean line. By completing the edges first, the paint has time to slightly dry before the main ceiling is rolled, helping to prevent lap marks and ensure a seamless blend between the cut-in areas and the rolled sections.
