What happens here
Gently guide the cucumber vines through the openings in the concrete mesh. Cucumbers have natural 'leaders' (tendrils) that will readily wrap around the mesh, allowing them to climb and support themselves. Weave the vines back towards the center of the V-shaped trellis to encourage vertical growth. This training method keeps the cucumbers off the ground, prevents them from sprawling, makes them easier to harvest, and improves air circulation.
Goal: Guide cucumber vines to grow upwards on the trellis.
