Can't believe I hit the darn thing and broke it! Underground work, digging and more!
What happens here
The man demonstrates connecting a 6-inch corrugated drainage pipe to the barn's gutter downspout. He then assembles a pop-up drain system, which includes a section of 6-inch drain pipe, a 6-inch elbow, and a pop-up lid. This assembly is connected to the end of the corrugated pipe. To prevent the pop-up lid from detaching, he drills a self-tapping screw (using a Milwaukee drill) through the lid into the elbow, securing it in place. He also drills a small weep hole at the bottom of the elbow to ensure no water collects and freezes inside the pipe.
Goal: Establish a functional pop-up drainage system
