Buying a new Mini Excavator

What happens here

Corey guides the creator through the features of the Kubota KX040-4 excavator. He explains the model designation, highlighting the 'dash 4' as the latest iteration. He points out the machine's robust build, classifying it as a 'bulletproof' option suitable for rental fleets due to its reliability. Maintenance accessibility is emphasized, with easy access to the fuel filters, water fuel separator, dipstick, air filter, hydraulic filters, and battery, allowing for quick checks and changes. Corey demonstrates the 'My Kubota' smartphone app, which, by scanning a QR code on the machine, provides digital access to fault code lookups, maintenance schedules, and instructional videos for various tasks like diesel particulate filter regeneration. The excavator is powered by a 40-horsepower Kubota diesel engine and features hydraulic-over-hydraulic controls, meaning no electronic components within the primary hydraulic system.

Goal: Understand the design, maintenance, and technological features of the Kubota KX040-4 excavator.
