What happens here

Install the slide-on shelf brackets (Amazon-sourced) directly into the wall studs. Due to potential stud spacing issues, some brackets may need to be secured using drywall anchors, but the corner supports are noted to provide additional stability. Once all brackets are level and securely mounted, slide the routed shelves onto the brackets. A rubber mallet can be used to gently tap the shelves into place for a snug fit. This creates the floating shelf system that will hold various decor and equipment.

Goal: Mount the slide-on shelf brackets securely to the wall studs and then attach the custom-made shelves.

these. We got perfect channels. Absolutely perfect. Now, the way we're going to install these is [music] with these Amazon slide on hardware kits. Um, you essentially borrow a hole that's half an inch thick and just slide the puppy on however you do install these onto the studs. Uh, I don't know how I feel about them just because these are too far apart. So, you'd have to put the screws at an angle in order to catch the stud. But, we'll solve that problem once we get there. And guess what? We're going to get there right now. So, I think the best method to do it is install the brackets first. Make sure they're all on the same plane, nice and straight, then hold this up and see exactly where the measurements need to take place. We'll come in here and try Well, we'll try our absolute hardest to make the hole straight. But, um, I don't have any guides, so it's a great way to start a Monday. >> [music] >> I was 100% right. There's no way you can get both screws into the stud, which is a terrible design. Why would you do that? Uh instead, uh they were kind enough to include some anchors, which that's not what is that going to do? So, I just threw up as many as I could up there. One is in the stud, one is in the anchor. The nice [music] thing is they're not going to hold crazy books or anything. just a lot of cool decorative stuff. [snorts] But um I'm not too thrilled about it. However, I feel a little bit okay cuz that corner is going to hold it just fine. We can reinforce it. Once we slap it on, we'll really see whether or not this puppy needs some welding or fabricating or something like
