What happens here
The video provides a behind-the-scenes tour of the UFP Transportation factory, where the 'TrussTrax' trusses are manufactured. Workers are seen on a large factory floor, each station equipped with a long metal table. Utilizing digital plans displayed on computer screens, they meticulously lay out precisely cut lumber pieces according to the truss design. Metal connector plates are hand-tacked into place at each joint. Once the components are arranged and temporarily fixed, the partially assembled truss is moved to a massive hydraulic press. This machine rolls over the truss, applying immense pressure to embed the metal connector plates, creating a strong, unified structural element. The finished trusses are then moved via a conveyor system for packing and shipping.
