Address Step Height Discrepancies

What happens here

Due to the deck meeting an existing concrete slab, the rise and run of the steps could not be uniformly designed from scratch. To create a seamless and aesthetically pleasing transition without visible cut edges, a special 'waterfall' step detail is introduced. This involves preparing composite boards that will be routed and heat-bent to wrap around the step risers and treads.

Goal: The construction addresses varying step heights by implementing a 'waterfall' technique using routed and heat-bent composite boards to achieve a clean, continuous look.
