BRICK Makeover --- Simple Steps Painting Brick & Stone
What happens here
Begin applying the solid color masonry stain by spraying it onto the brick surface. Continuously observe the stain's appearance; if it looks "rough" or is not fully penetrating the brick, immediate back-brushing is required. Use a large, stiff-bristled brush, such as the Perdurra Deck Boss, ideally attached to an extension pole, to actively work the stain into the brick's pores and mortar joints. This crucial step ensures proper absorption and prevents a superficial coating, preserving the brick's natural texture while achieving a uniform color. Pay close attention to all brick elements, including sills, to ensure thorough penetration.
Goal: Apply stain uniformly and ensure deep penetration into the masonry while preserving its texture.
