What happens here
The initial phase of this extensive landscaping project involves thorough site preparation. This typically includes clearing existing vegetation, removing debris, and carefully planning the layout for all landscape borders and the retaining wall. For the concrete borders, the proposed path is outlined, often with spray paint or string, and a shallow trench is excavated to provide a stable base for the curbing. For the retaining wall, the old structure needs to be fully demolished and removed, and the area excavated to create a level, compacted foundation for the new wall. This step is largely implied by the video which shows completed sections and ongoing work.
Goal: Prepare the ground and define the paths for concrete borders and the retaining wall.
