Big change. #paverpatio

What happens here

Install a layer of crushed gravel (typically 4-8 inches thick, depending on soil type and expected traffic) over the landscape fabric. This base layer provides stability and drainage. Spread the gravel evenly and compact it in layers (lifts) using a plate compactor. Next, install edge restraints along the perimeter of the paver area to hold the pavers in place. These can be made of plastic, metal, or concrete. After the base, spread a uniform 1-inch layer of bedding sand (coarse, angular sand) over the compacted gravel base. Use screed bars and a straightedge to level the sand accurately, creating a perfectly smooth and consistent surface for the pavers.

Goal: Create a strong, stable, and level foundation for the pavers with defined edges.
