Kevin Williams from Projecta introduces their range of Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) portable jump packs, highlighting their superior safety and lifespan compared to traditional lithium-ion (Li-cobalt) batteries. LiFePO4 batteries are unable to explode or catch fire, offering a safer alternative. While typical Li-cobalt jump packs get about 500 jumps, Projecta's LiFePO4 packs offer approximately 2000 jumps. Their unique rapid recharge feature allows the jump pack to recharge fully in 40 seconds directly from the vehicle's alternator after a jump, eliminating the need to plug it in. The packs also feature an override mode for completely dead batteries, lasting up to 10 minutes to allow the vehicle to be driven. They offer a range of sizes, from the 1220 series for 4-6 cylinder cars to the 5000 series capable of starting Class 8 trucks and heavy equipment.
Goal: Understand the safety, longevity, and rapid recharge capabilities of Projecta's LiFePO4 jump packs.
