Be classy, tuck your shirts in and tuck your flashing in 🫡

What happens here

Once the flashing is tucked completely under the siding and sitting flush on the deck joists, use a hammer to gently tap along the horizontal flange. This helps to fully seat the flashing and ensures a tight fit against the house and the deck framing. If needed, small roofing nails or finishing nails can be used to secure the horizontal flange to the top of the deck joists, preventing it from shifting over time.

Goal: Ensure the flashing is firmly seated and permanently secured.
