Awesome Progress Clearing land on our farm!
What happens here
After the initial heavy clearing, the next phase involves conditioning the soil and preventing erosion. This is achieved by using a TR3 rake to smooth the rough terrain left by the heavy machinery. Following grading, a precision seeder will be used to plant a mixture of warm-season grasses, including pearl millet, fescue, and annual ryegrass. This initial planting aims to establish a strong root base and foliage to prevent soil washout. In the fall, cool-season grasses like fescue and clover will be drilled in to further enhance the ground cover and soil stabilization.
Goal: Grade the cleared land and plant ground cover to prevent erosion.
