Artificial TURF And More - INSANE BACKYARD Pt 15

What happens here

Once the stone dust is roughly spread, place long metal screeding bars or sturdy pieces of lumber across the area, resting them on the Roka border or on temporary guides. These bars will act as guides for leveling the surface. Use a straight edge, such as a large level or another screeding bar, to pull across the screeding bars. This action removes high spots and fills in low spots, ensuring the stone dust is perfectly flat and level across the entire area. After screeding, lightly wet the stone dust using a water hose. The water helps in the compaction process by reducing friction between particles. Finally, use a vibratory plate compactor to thoroughly compact the wetted stone dust. Make several overlapping passes over the entire surface to achieve maximum density and stability, creating a firm and smooth foundation for the artificial turf.

Goal: Precisely level the stone dust using screeding bars, then thoroughly compact it with water to create a dense, stable, and flat sub-base.
