Artificial TURF And More - INSANE BACKYARD Pt 15

What happens here

The appropriate aggregate mix for the artificial turf sub-base is stone dust. Stone dust is a fine aggregate composed of crushed stone particles ranging from 1/4 inch down to very fine 'fines'. This material is ideal for artificial turf as it compacts tightly, creating a smooth surface without sharp edges that could be felt through the turf. Avoid using 3/8-inch clean stone for the sub-base as it is too loose and will not provide a stable, flat surface without perceptible stones beneath the turf. Use a mini-skid steer (or shovels for manual work) to load stone dust into a wheelbarrow. Transport the stone dust to the prepared area within the Roka border. Dump the aggregate and then use rakes to spread it evenly across the entire surface, aiming for a consistent depth. This initial spreading prepares the area for precise leveling.

Goal: Acquire the correct type of aggregate (stone dust), transport it to the site, and spread it evenly within the Roka border to create a uniform sub-base layer.
