A good stone mason is very hard to come by these days, but we are lucky to have found these guys!
What happens here
After the lower stone veneer is partially completed, install the fireplace hearth. This involves carefully lifting and positioning a large, pre-fabricated concrete slab to form the seating or base area in front of the firebox opening. Ensure it is level and properly supported. Subsequently, install a pre-cut wooden mantel above the firebox, securing it firmly to the wall structure. Continue applying stone veneer around the mantel and the firebox opening, integrating it seamlessly with the previously installed stone.
Goal: Place the hearth slab and secure the wooden mantel, integrating them into the stone veneer.
