Is your framing square actually square? Let's get after it. All right, now get yourself something square. Whether it's a piece of plywood, a table, whatever the case is, I'm going to be using a whiteboard. Now go ahead and push your square tight up against this edge here and just draw a line right here. Now take your square and flip it. Line this edge up in the bottom here. Now if you have a straight line, that means that your framing square is square. If your [snorts] line does like something like this or your line does something like this don't worry, there's a way to fix that. All right, if you need to punch your square this way and close it in you're going to punch in this outside corner. If you need to move the square this way you're going to punch on your inside corner. If you have a framing square that's off by just a little bit, fix it right away. That little bit could turn into inches down the road. So before you do any layout, go ahead and make sure that it's square. Anyways, it's Friday night. I got stuff to do. I'll catch you guys later. Peace.
