20 Years Worth of Painting Hacks! Every Painting Hack The Idaho Painter knows!

What happens here

For squeaky doors or to prevent black graphite dust around hinges, remove the hinge pins. Use a specialized hinge pin remover tool, which consists of a spring-loaded punch, to strike the bottom of the hinge pin, forcing it out. Once removed, lubricate the pin with bearing grease or any suitable lubricant. Reinsert the lubricated pin and tap it back into place with a hammer if needed. This process eliminates squeaks and prevents dust buildup.

Goal: Lubricate door hinges to eliminate squeaks and prevent dust buildup.
