The host points out the well-designed concrete apron around the large shop. Unlike the mini shop, this apron is 20 feet deep, providing ample space for parking and working around vehicles. He regrets not making the apron 22 feet deep to comfortably accommodate a long-bed diesel truck, but notes it's still a vast improvement. Crucially, the concrete is poured with a proper slope away from the building, ensuring excellent drainage and preventing water from accumulating against the foundation. This design prevents the issues of water intrusion and foundation damage seen in the previous build.
Goal: Design concrete aprons with sufficient depth and proper slope for optimal drainage.
