Step 2 · Remove Visible Obstructions

This is the step people usually slow down on. Go finger-tight first, then a quarter turn. No rush — replay the clip whenever it helps.

Carefully remove any visible hair, soap scum, or debris obstructing the drain opening. Use tweezers, pliers, or a bent wire hanger to extract the clog. The more you remove initially, the easier subsequent steps will be.
