Step 3 · Install the New Garbage Disposal Flange

This is the step most people slow down on. Take it one move at a time — there’s no rush, and you can rewind the clip as many times as you need.

Clean the sink flange thoroughly using a putty knife. Apply a fresh mounting gasket to the cleaned flange. Securely attach the new garbage disposal to the mounting assembly, following the manufacturer's instructions precisely. This step ensures a watertight seal.
