Floating Shelf Installation

For a secure installation, the floating shelf bracket must be anchored into wall studs. Use an electronic stud finder to scan the wall in the desired location for the shelf. Mark the center of each stud with a pencil. Ensure you locate at least two studs for adequate support.

Hold the floating shelf bracket against the wall at the predetermined height. Use a level to ensure the bracket is perfectly horizontal. Align the bracket's screw holes with the center of the marked wall studs. Once positioned correctly, use a pencil to mark the wall through each screw hole on the bracket.

Select a drill bit that is slightly smaller in diameter than the mounting screws you will be using. Using your drill, create pilot holes at each of the pencil marks you made on the wall. Ensure the drill is held straight and perpendicular to the wall for a clean hole.

Position the floating shelf bracket over the pilot holes you drilled. Insert the mounting screws through the bracket's holes and into the pilot holes in the studs. Use your drill or a screwdriver to tighten the screws firmly. Ensure the bracket is snug against the wall and does not move.

Take the floating shelf and align the hollow channel on the back of the shelf with the arms of the installed bracket. Gently slide the shelf onto the bracket until it is fully seated and flush against the wall. Ensure there is no wobble or looseness.
