Step 4 · Wire the Ceiling Fan

Feed the house wires through the center of the mounting bracket. Connect the ground wire from the fan to the ground wire from the ceiling (usually green). Connect the neutral wire from the fan (usually white) to the neutral wire from the ceiling. Connect the hot wire from the fan (usually black or blue for the light) to the hot wire from the ceiling (usually black). Use wire connectors for each connection.
