Install Additional Zip Ties and Final Test

What happens here

To improve traction significantly, install five connected zip ties on each rear tire of the John Deere Gator. Once all zip ties are securely fastened to both rear tires, engage the differential locker (if available on your vehicle) to ensure both rear wheels receive power and spin together. Drive the vehicle in fresh snow to evaluate the full effectiveness of the zip tie snow chains.

Goal: Achieve sufficient traction to get the vehicle unstuck from snow.
