What happens here

This video details Michaela's initiative to rescue baby foxes from fur farms that would otherwise be discarded due to various reasons like rejection by mothers, large litter sizes, or physical handicaps. The project involves caring for these kits, finding them suitable homes, and advocating against local city ordinances that threaten the rescue's operation. The video serves as a call to action for community support through letters, donations, and responsible adoption.

fa in the right way or do you got yeah it's it's all right you're good give me a 3 two one you're on right now oh all right hello all right everybody hey I'm with Michaela and we are saving baby foxes but this isn't my story this is her story Michaela can you tell the YouTube Community what exactly is going on here well what I do is I rescue baby foxes like this one from fur Farms um I get rejected kits from the mothers so the ones of mother foxes have either um left on The Wire to you know just hang out there and eventually not make it I also get the runs of the litter I get um ones that are handicapped and ones without tails um these two were from litter that was too big so the mom sto taking care of them so these two are the ones that the dirt monkey family Nikki Nikki want to say hi show up Nikki's been helping me every 3 hours we get up we bottle feed them but these guys get get saved from the fur farm and then they go to new homes where's one of the foxes right there treat so the so the problem is the fur Farms are actually cooperating with you aren't they yes not the fur Farms the fur Farms are actually helping Michaela save foxes that they otherwise couldn't use it's the city of Lakeville the city of Lakeville is trying to shut her down City of Lake is coming in saying we don't want you to have foxes on your property I mean we've got acres and acres of land there's no other people around we've got can't see a house in sight we've got a full enclosure if you look around everything is Chained in he's more interested in this is Casper M he's also a rescue from a fur farm and he's sponsored here and so need your help we need your help to help Michaela keep her Farm here comes a couple of the others there's Farah hi Farah she wants to see the babies of course the babies come here Finn's very food motivated so he likes streets I don't have so what we were saying is we need your help well Michaela needs your help you can look up Michaela at saao fox.org org yep and go there and what do you want would you what would help you you can see all the foxes that I've rescued on that page there's also a donation link on there if you want to donate to help help the cause and help what I'm doing um there's even adoption applications if you're interested in adopting boxes but you got to get in line behind us but you need letters too right now don't you yep I need letters written to the city of Lakeville you can even use if you have Twitter you can um hash city of Lakeville and you know WR I I'm not very experienced with Twitter but I believe you just use that hashtag and you say you say what you feel so but to to make sure that a letter counts the best thing would be to to send a letter to you so you can present it to Lakeville and that's at savea fox.org and but the your email is yep and my my email is save aox yahoo.com at yahoo.com so a lot of these foxes they get sent out two families that are ready to take care of them because they really can't go back into the wild can they y exactly these foxes they have been captive raised in fur farms for many many generations so it's actually it's illegal to release them so really their only option um is to go to sanctuaries or go to people as pets and I I am very careful who gets these animals because of course they are not like a typical dog or cat so that's why people fill out adoption applications and then from there they either qualify or they don't okay but Michaela how do they make do they how are they as pets do they make good pets um that's a tricky question because you know not every exotic animal is right for people they are they're very high strung creatures so it's like you are getting a puppy that never really grows up okay and they can if they get bored they can be destructive and that's not to blame on them because they're foxes they need something to do they need a lot of activity um so if you a very active person and maybe you work from home uh a fox would be good for you they they need lots of exercise so they don't get bored so if you are thinking about adopting a fox please do your research yes lots of research there's a lot of good YouTube videos even out there um Riot the fox I know makes YouTube videos and that really shows what it's like to have a fox living in your house because you really have to Fox proof so the fur Farm did they just recently contact you um about some new babies how did that work they contacted me it was yesterday they told me that one of the mother foxes had rejected a litter of three um so I went up there last night to get them and I didn't arrive until early early in the morning and then when I got there there's also two more that a mother Fox had rejected so they left the two babies out on the wire and you know the babies can't survive if they're very tiny and left alone without nourishment or without warmth so um I ended up taking those two as well so I ended up going to get three and coming back with five and but you wouldn't have known about so the what I what I really appreciate about the fur Farms is although they're kind of the antithesis of what you're doing yeah at least they're taking the time to say hey look here's some animals that would would be cult they have no hope whatsoever they give them to you but the problem is now the city is just coming in and saying no no more we we don't the city is trying I even met with the city today and it was it was very disappointing it was actually the mayor I met with and he was pretty much telling me he doesn't see anybody on the city council um voting voting for me so that's really upsetting because um I even said to them you what is it against your ordinance to have a rescue and it's just it's very frustrating cuz these animals they're like my family I take them in and I give them life and to get it all taken away would be very very depressing so perfect well I just wanted to bring your story to YouTube um we've been doing the best we can trying to help take on some of the take some of the the load off from her with some of the orphans that she's raising and helps a lot and and um she's finding new homes for and if you could help out by simply writing a letter or go to go to saveafox.org m finding uh just looking over the website letters help that's all I ask you guys to do please thank you so you can even um go to my Instagram it's MCD little animals and you can you can see even the baby foxes that I just rescued today on there yes m i k do little animals right yep so MC do little animals so that's that's it uh this that's what we've got for today so we're out helping foxes save some save some lives yep save the foxes save the foxes God bless go get them
