Working on getting all of the walls up to patio height.

What happens here

This initial phase of the project involves substantial earthmoving and the construction of structural retaining walls and steps leading down towards the water. Heavy machinery, specifically a New Holland skid steer and an excavator, are utilized for tasks such as moving and leveling earth, gravel, and large concrete retaining wall blocks. Workers are seen meticulously placing these blocks, ensuring stability by incorporating layers of geogrid between courses. Gravel is being used as backfill behind the walls. The retaining walls are being built to eventually be flush with an adjacent pool, and natural stone coping is planned for the steps.

Goal: Build the structural retaining walls and steps leading to the water's edge.
