Woods Batwing Mower 2 year Review...Good, bad and Ugly?
What happens here
Connect the PTO shaft from the mower to the tractor. The Woods mower features a proprietary handle that allows you to pull up on the PTO shaft to align it with the tractor's PTO, eliminating the need to lift the heavy shaft. Ensure that the three hydraulic hoses are properly connected to the tractor's corresponding hookups. The presenter advises adding protective hose wrap around the hydraulic hoses to prevent them from being damaged by contact with moving parts or external objects, noting that hydraulic hoses are expensive to replace (priced by the inch, around $0.75/inch). Also, for mowing, lift the tractor's lift arms all the way up or remove them entirely to prevent them from interfering with the PTO shaft, especially during turns.
Goal: Properly connect the PTO shaft and protect hydraulic hoses.
