Wood grain removal - furniture flip. #aquacoat #innovation
What happens here
The first step involves preparing the wooden surface by removing any existing loose paint, finish, or debris using a scraper. Following this, an orbital sander, ideally connected to a dust extraction system, is used to thoroughly sand all surfaces of the furniture piece, including flat tops, sides, and edges. This initial sanding step smooths out minor imperfections and creates a clean, uniform surface ready for grain filling.
Goal: Remove loose material and smooth the initial surface
Tools and materials
