What happens here
Use an impact wrench or a ratchet to remove the bolts connecting the steering column to the dashboard and other mounting points. Carefully disconnect any electrical wiring or linkages attached to the column. Once all fasteners are removed and connections are severed, lift the steering column out of the vehicle.
Goal: Detach and remove the steering column.
