WILLYS JEEP RESCUE: Engine Pull with John Deere Farm Tractor!! Just a good time!

What happens here

With all connections severed, position the John Deere tractor's forklift forks and attached lifting apparatus (spreader bar with straps) over the engine and transmission assembly. Carefully operate the tractor hydraulics to slowly lift the engine and transmission unit from the chassis. Once lifted clear, gently move the tractor and suspend the assembly over a prepared moving dolly (a wooden pallet with wheels is shown). Slowly lower the engine and transmission onto the dolly, ensuring it is stable and balanced before detaching the lifting straps. The now-empty chassis can then be easily moved using its own wheels or additional dollies.

Goal: Safely remove the engine and transmission from the frame and place it on a mobile platform.

Tools and materials

  • Moving Dolly — Providing a mobile platform for the removed engine and transmission
  • Spreader Bar with Straps — Distributing the lifting force and securing the assembly
