Consolidate Concrete with a Vibrator
At 0:00 in
Why use our own manpower when we can use this incredibly excessive concrete vibrator??
What happens here
The video demonstrates the consolidation of a freshly poured concrete mix using an internal concrete vibrator. The vibrator is inserted vertically into the concrete, causing the mix to become more fluid and release trapped air bubbles to the surface. The person moves the vibrator systematically across the concrete pile, ensuring all areas are vibrated. The technique involves inserting the vibrator quickly until it penetrates the full depth of the concrete (or into a previously placed lift) and slowly withdrawing it, observing the surface for air bubbles to stop appearing and a thin layer of cement paste to form. This process helps achieve a dense, void-free concrete structure.
Goal: Remove air voids from freshly poured concrete.
