What happens here

This video demonstrates various aspects of commercial snow plowing operations in light to moderate snowfall using heavy-duty pickup trucks equipped with different types of snowplows. It covers preparing the plows, assessing snow depth, executing plowing passes, and discusses challenges such as operating in two-wheel drive, managing traction control, and coordinating multiple vehicles and equipment.

right. Hold up. How much snow you think we got? >> You going to do the knuckle test? >> Yeah, I figure what, man? >> Timmy always everyone's got that 2 in three. You know, if it's probably up to here, it's got to be 4 in, right? >> All right, let's see. Timmy always likes to do it up to test. >> It's about 4 in. Not bad for November. >> And it's our second time. Second time going out. >> Yeah, >> might be a good winner. How many schools are we doing now? >> 36. >> 36. >> And we're down three pieces of equipment. But >> it's a Saturday night, [clears throat] >> so we've got all day Sunday minus getting them done for the churches. >> No pressure. This is Alex's truck and the four-wheel drive just happened to go out right before this snowstorm. So, he's plowing in two wheel drive with a pallet of a brick in the back. He's using the dirt monkey plow that we helped design made by Arctic out of Canada, which is different than the Arctic you normally see me run and you will see later on in this video. Same name, different company. Next up is the F14 by Snow Power. Probably would help if I turned on the snowplow lights. Let's do that and see the difference. Now, this one is the Arctic Razor Back. These are the ones made out of Chicago that I've been running for a long time that you guys are familiar with. Well, that actually went pretty fast. The church [snorts] Only way I got up that hill was with traction control off. Oh, >> why you saying that? >> Uh, he likes he likes it. He likes the traction control. I always get like can't really tell what my tires are doing. So, >> I I don't like traction control. >> I just shut it off. But it was still acting like it was on. It was weird. >> On here. It says it's off. All right, hold on. Traction control on. Okay, now hold it for 15, two. >> Oh, I never did that [laughter] before. Okay. Well, >> now it's off. Now it's off. You can click it and it does it a little bit, but if it's really really spinning, then it then it automatically does stuff, you know. That really lets it burn. Really get a ripping on that with that. >> Yeah. I just feel the truck better, you know. >> Oh, just standard four-wheel drive. >> Yeah. Without the traction control. >> Yeah. Yeah. Me, too. Okay. What are you going to do? >> Going to some schools here. I got to meet up with uh Jake and >> Jake at midnight though. >> Yep. At midnight. It's 11. Nothing. I guess I can go do Frederick's. >> Okay. >> Maybe. >> You are You going to go do Frederick's and Grandma's? >> Yes, I could. >> Okay. >> I really I told him I'd set him up with somebody else. >> Hey, should I should I leave the truck run down there? Are you comfortable jumping at Tim or should he just leave it run? Probably >> just leave it run, huh? Okay, >> leave it right. >> Leave it. Got >> anything else to do? >> Not on this side of town yet. >> Are you going over on the other right now to get things going or what? >> Yeah. I'm just going to drop maps off though. Fire up the equipment and that's it. >> Warm it up and get it ready for when the boys come. >> Yep. And then we're going to be hitting those truck schools together. >> Who's anybody running my ski tonight? >> Uh yeah. No. That thing's going to I don't know, man. It's the It's the summer tracks. That ain't going to get much. They're going to be Doesn't have dirt tracks, does it? >> Yeah, it's got dirt tracks on it. >> You know, >> it's not dirt. It's not dirt tracks, right? It's all season, though, isn't it? >> No dirt tracks. They're the big uh >> Wow. >> Yeah. >> Damn. >> I don't think it was that much better with winter tracks on it. >> I don't think it was either. >> Why did we Didn't we have all seasons we put on it? >> We did, but it almost was like it wasn't any better. >> It rattled a lot more. >> It did. Yes. >> It was like badly. That's not going to be much help. This is >> I mean, I'm getting around in two wheel drive, >> but they they salted that I'm sure this has never been touched before. So, um it gets ice underneath there. I'm sure the school parking lots are uh you know been manicured and salted before last storm. Yeah. So, it's a lot better. >> Yeah. It's going to be better than this. >> Yeah. >> This got no love. >> Yep. >> So, I should be all right with two wheel drive. Can't really be getting into tight spots or whatever. Do you have a strap? I might. I think there's one in this truck. So, >> I should try. >> You got Don't we have the some uh the Yankee? I think >> Yeah, the Yankhams, right? >> Yeah, I don't have a Yankee. >> You don't have one. >> I think I got an I I I got some Yankhams. I don't know how many I got in my truck. If there isn't one in here, I'll check and see if I got an extra Yankham I'll throw in here. >> Well, it should be at the shop if it's not in here. >> Yeah, for this. >> There's not a Yankham in there. All right. Well, all right. >> Yeah, I'm going to take off when I out. So, I'll see you guys later. >> We'll see you, Alex. >> All right. I put him I put the same map that you have in that white truck for Jake. It's in the back seat. >> Yeah. We'll just go hit whatever one you got first there. And >> just go right down the list. and I'll see you later. >> All right. Well, they got 36 schools to do, but here's the scoop. It's Sunday and I don't film on Sunday. I don't edit. I don't go on social media. I don't answer comments. I don't touch anything to do with any extra work rellated activity that I don't have to on Sunday. Now, the good Lord has made it snow on Saturday night. It means he's good with me working plowing on Sunday, but it doesn't mean I'm going to be filming and editing it. So, that's where this video is going to end, unfortunately. And every video you've ever seen of me snow plowing, as soon as midnight on Saturday comes around, the cameras have always gone off. I've never ran the cameras yet. Sunday's the day when you're supposed to rest, my friends. And although we're not technically resting, I don't have to do the extra work. So, I'm trying to do my honor as much as I can. You know, policemen and firefighters and doctors and things like that, they got to work. They're critical. But turning on a camera and filming isn't critical. So, but I hope you guys enjoyed going along for the ride. And that's going to be all we can do on this one on this snowplow because the rest of it will be taken care of uh during the day and during the night. So, on Sunday. That's it for this one. God bless. Go get them you guys. We'll see you on another one. Enjoy your Sundays. Don't work too hard, man. God told us to rest on Sunday for a reason. We need to honor that. We'll see you guys later. God bless you.
