What happens here

This project demonstrates a clever drainage solution for paver patios and pool decks that lack traditional surface drains. Instead of filling all paver joints with solidifying sand, a border of pavers with intentionally wider gaps is installed around the perimeter. These gaps are filled with small, permeable stone, allowing rainwater and pool splash-out to filter directly into the prepared sub-base, thereby preventing water accumulation and pooling on the patio surface.
