When Ignorance COSTS YOU MONEY!

What happens here

After the visual inspection, start the skid steer. Listen for the fuel pump before ignition, and ensure the engine starts quickly and smoothly without excessive cranking. Allow the machine to warm up for about 90 seconds. Once warm, operate the throttle. The engine should respond smoothly without sputtering, hesitation, or rattling noises (like valves). Have an assistant observe the exhaust for any large clouds of smoke, especially upon startup, as this can indicate engine wear (e.g., piston rings, valve guides). Check that all gauges (oil pressure, temperature), lights, and safety systems (seat belt, parking brake) are fully functional, as these are critical for safe operation and can be negotiating factors.

Goal: Verify proper engine function and responsiveness.
