What Exactly is a TransAm Race Car? Inside Pancho Weaver's Basement Shop - Where Innovation is King

What happens here

Learn about the builder's personal history in off-road racing, including racing at Riverside International Raceway with legends like Parnelli Jones and Rick Mears. This experience taught him various aspects of mechanical setup and driving under extreme conditions. Transitioning from off-road to Trans Am, he sought a different challenge and a less physically demanding form of racing. His experience in various forms of racing, including building V8-powered Blazers and sand buggies, contributed to his deep understanding of vehicle dynamics and fabrication, which he now applies to Trans Am.

Goal: Appreciate the builder's extensive racing background and its influence on current designs.
