What do you call this cool little tool? It’s begging for a nickname 🤣..#builder #carpenter #tool

What happens here

With one edge of the soffit panel securely in place, the worker then gently flexes the vinyl panel slightly inward (bowing it) to allow the opposite edge to clear the lip of the second J-channel or receiving track. Once the edge is past the lip, they release the flex, allowing the panel to spring back and snap into place, locking both sides into their respective channels. After the panel is seated, the worker uses the hammer and nail punch to gently tap along the adjacent J-channel or trim that holds the soffit. This action ensures a snug fit for the soffit, helps to fully seat the trim, and may be used to set a hidden nail that secures the J-channel itself, completing the installation of this specific panel.

Goal: Fully engage and secure the soffit panel in its final position, and make final trim adjustments
