What happens here
Once the rock dust is initially spread, the operator switches to a back-dragging technique. This involves driving the skid steer in reverse with the bucket lowered to just skim the surface of the ground. As the machine moves backward, the bucket acts as a grader, pulling and evening out the material, filling in small dips, and creating a smooth, level surface. The operator performs multiple passes, overlapping each pass to ensure thorough coverage and a uniform grade across the entire area, preparing it for compaction and concrete pouring.
Goal: Employing the back-dragging technique, the operator meticulously levels and smooths the spread rock dust using the skid steer's bucket, aiming for a consistent grade.
