Install Vertical Skirting Supports

Here's how we do our skirting detail. We get this question a lot. And what we do is two 2x4s. Back one is running up higher behind our rim joist. We keep it an inch and a half down so that we can fit blocking in here if need be. And then we run it 3 and 1/2 in long on the backside at the bottom so that we can connect it all with a 2x4 going horizontal. And we'll do three screws into our rim joist. So just need one more screw there.
