Wax Bleed, a painters worst nightmare! What is it and what to do about it? #wax bleed #peelingpaint

So, I'm going to show you what a condition called wax bleed is right here. Watch this paint right here. This is on a shed. Look at that. So, you've got multiple layers of paint peeling off. See how smooth and shiny that is? So, what you have is too much paraffin wax, you know, in the siding. the heat is bringing it to the surface and it's causing the paint to fail and and peel right off. So, this is a common issue here in Boise in the Treasure Valley. Common issue called wax bleed. So, it's defective sighting. It's not an issue with the paint. It's an issue with um the siding having too much paraffin wax in there. And just like a candle, nothing's going to stick to wax, not even paint. So, you can oil prime it with a fast dry oil primer. It's a um simple solution, short-term solution, but it's eventually gonna fail.
