Walls/steps/landings up against houses.

What happens here

To address the weight issue, the speaker reveals the solution: a 'fake wall' or internal retaining wall, drawn in blue, built on the backside of the steps' granular foundation. This wall acts as a self-sustaining unit, supporting the entire weight of the steps and foundation. Crucially, this wall is constructed so that it does not touch the house, preventing any weight transfer to the house structure.

Goal: Understand the function of a false wall in supporting the steps' weight independently.
