What happens here

This video features a discussion about the aesthetic preference for the orientation of screws on electrical switch plates (vertical vs. horizontal) rather than providing instructions for receptacle outlet installation in drywall. The speaker demonstrates by briefly manipulating a screw on a switch plate while pondering the ideal alignment for a 'polished look'. He also notes standard practices by electricians and inconsistencies introduced by other trades, such as tile setters.

So, here's the question. Should the screws be vertical or should they be horizontal or do you even really care? Um, I know the electrician. So, I'm in this new construction house. The electricians install them all vertical. Should you install them vertical, horizontal? Does it look nicer horizontal? So, we got horizontal here. We've got vertical here. So, which one looks better to you? That's what we want to know. So, the tile guys took them all off and the tile and some of them are random. They didn't get them perfect. So, like this one's off a little bit. So, I like them actually vertical. So, the final polished look right there in my opinion is vertical. What do you think? Let us know.
