What happens here
For side-to-side block spacing, utilize long, thin, rebar-like strips. These strips are placed between the blocks horizontally to ensure even gaps. Once the blocks are correctly spaced and set in place, presumably with construction adhesive applied between layers (as implied by 'glued down'), these horizontal strips are no longer needed. Carefully pull them out from between the blocks. These removed strips can then be reused for the next section of the wall, ensuring consistent spacing throughout the project.
Goal: Achieve uniform horizontal spacing and prepare blocks for permanent adhesion.
Tools and materials
- Caulk Gun — Applying construction adhesive
- Horizontal Spacing Strips — Creating uniform horizontal gaps between blocks
- Wall Blocks Unilock — The main components of the wall
- Construction Adhesive — Permanently bonding the wall blocks together
