What happens here

Begin by unloading bags of polymeric sand directly onto the paver surface. Using a stiff-bristled push broom, spread the sand evenly across the entire patio or pathway. Work the sand into all the gaps and joints between the pavers, ensuring maximum penetration. Sweep thoroughly around all edges and corners to fill every crevice.
