we're live our live BAM we're back we're back welcome wash our channel home improvement how to welcome to our channel if you haven't been here before I don't know we're a little jet-lagged ooh we got we traveled for like 22 hours yesterday so are we jet-lagged we are a little little off our kilter but we're so happy to be back and just to give an update on what we've been up to but our show today our goal is to educate empower and equip and what are we gonna be with the traditional part today um today we are going to talk about airless gun extensions why we use them and how beneficial they can be I while we were over there in the UK at the paint tech Academy I kind of talked about him they were kind of fascinated by the the airless extensions and so we have there was 20 students in the class I got to teach about them and and so when I arrived back call I had a box I think there's a whole box of them full I'll open it here in a minute I mean you think about it just a second there's a whole box um I believe that's what's in them as I wanted to talk about airless extensions tell people why we use them and how they can benefit themselves and you know people are kind of have been intimidated by them it seemed like but then when all the students went to use them they all did quite fine with them yeah what's crazy is I people are like fascinated I even had one 30-inch gun extension on and then I hooked two on and handed it to people and asked them to spray with it in every single person even one student had never sprayed before in their life and it was a female and she did a fabulous job it was really so I'm him yet box and all well open the box up we got some people um let's diving Ross said he saw us at the show so kind of cool Ian paint tech Academy is on and so the whole reason why we were we went to the the the painting and decorating show was to me are paint my family and so we found out we do really have a family over there so we do Alton has a new dad dad she hasn't the new dads to my mom's house yes we try to leave our daughter in the UK and so but yeah I got a box so it's kind of clear because on this and look who we have guess you after is not used to this but there you are out then you can see yourself we know at least one of your dad's is on so yeah because paint check academies showed up right there so oh my dog we're gonna bring her to London when we when we come when we come back to the UK to drop our daughter off to live with you for the rest of her life she's bringing her dog yeah well I just think our heart and our desire is to create a community where we support educate encourage and learn from each other so that we can produce finishes have the best quality of life and provide for our families and so the community that's being established is we're just so thankful and so grateful that we had the chance to come over so we are going to start doing this live show Thursdays at noon so that you guys don't have to stay up all night and you know strike keep that connection because we we met amazing people and we're just so blessed and thankful to be part of this community yeah when we were over there too the arm the the Academy or not the Academy the the painting decorating show we realized that door surprise because wait that's fine we realized you know how big of a community there was following us over there and that they can't you know watch us because it's two o'clock in the morning so we are going to just do another show and just suck it up and just work some more and but here so old man what was that kind of cool because we talked about spraying extensions and so here we go we got got extensions it looks like I got my stuff I have a good day off Danny so there we go thanks for being with us Tony extension on length right here a great guy this guy ordered three of these because we use them all the time and so this is the 30 inch model right here and it was kind of cool if the Academy I stacked two of them together so that's one thing that's really cool these things is you can stack them together a gun extension nobody should buy an airless sprayer without buying a gun extension you should not be spraying without a net gun extension that's just my opinion I mean so sometimes I have an opinion but okay you love gun extensions and you know our goal we are gonna I interrupt you that wasn't good but that's usually my job my job is interrupt now our goal is to provide you guys with the best products for the best value and so when we went to part two of our trip was going to Berlin and so hopefully there'll be some more videos put out and we did a lot of filming and who'd we go see in Berlin airless discounters and so if they were amazing just amazing as everybody in the UK so there's just so much to talk about but they created this and you're gonna list it I'm gonna create it but this is their brand and their brand somebody from China created okay what they did well the reality is is we want to test it out they did okay it doesn't we want to test it out and if it is a good value and a good price we will let you know so I'll tell you about it here so we went over there to Ernesto scanners and met Stefan he's the owner absolutely amazing Quique our tour guide from he works for Harris discounters absolutely amazing and some of the other people that work there Darren what are all the names give us some names oh I see Jamie song born and it says what are we going to snowboarding are you the Jamie that we met in the UK that's got to be Jamie yeah it's gotta be on Jamie um he was I met him at that the pro show met him he went to the the class I taught over there the pain tech Academy one cool guy yeah he's I can go snowboarding with them yeah come on over Jamie we'll go snowboarding but um so gun extensions this is a great gun extension we use on titan gun extensions too and then I didn't even know anybody else made gun extensions but over there at airless discounters I'm Stefan handed me this and it's it's far bit max and I I think that's how you say it far of max and this is his own brand and so this is he sells them and they are I think when he was talking to me about him I mean I'm not positive I think they're about half the price of a Grey Cup gun extension I have not used them so you know we are gonna let you know they sell all the this was interesting about the farm not gun extensions and they you can get any length you want you just say I want 16 and a half inches in 1/8 and 1/4 I mean whatever and they will cut it and they'll make it any size you want that's the way I understood it which is kind of amazing so if you want a five-foot one they'll make it for you but you don't have to buy in quantity um no so you can order this you can buy this from airless this one right here so yeah it's so I haven't tested them but we're gonna be tested you know cuz we break them all the time and and so that's why I buy them all the time that's why I got kind of kind of like you threw that one thing off the lift and it broke so how do you break them what happens not not this one so the some of them this is a weld right here it's welded inside there and the weld breaks or some of them are actually screwed together and and then they break right there too so it's kind of interesting the doors open so big somebody wanted to know what is the general size you typically buy in use um okay so I mean it's a good question we're talking it since we are I'm this is oh so that um the whole purpose behind this live show what our live shows are about his educating you on a certain subject this is about airless gun extensions but we're I'm also got some really cool stuff I want to show you guys and show you about hard trip to the UK some pretty fun things but um so let's get back so you asked me a question what sizes if I own if I can only have two sizes to extension sizes I would take a the 6-inch they make us sinks six-inch I would have a six-inch and not have a 30-inch those are the two that I would buy the six-inch because that seems a little short and it is I'm short no and that was okay because a six-inch gun extension when I'm spraying a door jamb on inside the house so door jamb doors I'm just a little bit too short to like reach as high as I need and that six inches gives me just the amount of reach to do a door jamb two doors in it also this is one thing that people don't realize if you if you've just sprained just with a gun take off the guard and then you got like 2,500 psi behind the trigger or a thousand and you pull the trigger it kind of like explodes and just like it splatters out it shoots out and everybody's and it was kind of interesting guys at the academy when I when I was teaching in the UK I hooked up my gun extension and I went to pull the trigger pointing at the gallon of paint and everybody backed up was like well great because it shoots like everywhere when you put just one gun extension on it has it has to go through the tube and it kind of like just softens the spray that doesn't splatter out it just comes out you know in a nice steady stream you know and it doesn't splatter so you don't just get and just it kicking back up in your face if you're just spraying in a bucket or something it's kind of interesting you got it spraying with and without it at 3,000 psi and you'll see a big difference so I always I mean it's very rare that I ever do not have a gun extension on I'm always just because of that it I'm dampening this dampening the the paint or dampening the pressure when you pull the trigger so hopefully that answered your question I just confused you well somebody gave us another super thank you very much Morales drywall on super chat he says keep sent on the Graco ultramatic so we love those things so we um wanted to recap we wanted to talk about the extension poles and so if you have any more questions feel free to ask them and I'm trying to read and we'll try to answer them as best as we can but when we went to San Diego we met some great people and one of them there was some paint brushes Oh somebody gave him and this is danuel story that connects us with the UK and just the small world of painting that were a part of yeah um Daniel sent us Daniel sent us um he didn't send us we so we made an appearance at a place down in in Oceanside just let people know we were gonna be at this place to eat and and have a few drinks anybody that wanted to show up can show up and we can meet and talk and um go over you know painting ideas and share stuff it was kind of cool we met him there and we met his girlfriend I'm Nicole waters everybody that we met was awesome you know I feel so blessed to be a part of this community and he went I'm gonna talk about Corona brushes and he went out to his truck his car I don't know what I mean I don't I didn't see him go I don't know what kind of car yachty he just went out to his feet that call and he brought these two brushes they were still wet from using them gave them to me said he'd be honored if I tested them out and tried them so here they are we got him I'm back in the United States and I'll be testing them out thank you very much Daniel but that leads us to the national pan decorating show we were really interested in trying to talk to the owners of Corona brushes because we heard it was a family business and so you know I kind of looked at their website and and read about them but we hadn't gotten in touch with them you know to see about I don't know working with them in some way cuz Chris really likes the brushes and so we go to the UK and I asked at the stand of Corona brushes if anybody's there from America and president is there the president not the president of United States but the President Roh neuroma brush come you know so we were able to talk to him so it shows you what a small world kind of cool and then I met another guy that we're talking to about the caulking wages and he was from San Diego Bay Area so it it really is a small world that you know you want to meet somebody in the US and you have to go over there to meet him so it's good I have tested the corona brushes out and I've tested the tested there chinax and they're absolutely amazing brushes I just got back here went over to the job site and John they're working and he's been doing a fabulous job keeping things going while we're gone and John had a corona chinax in his hand so Ben Cory you brought some other brushes you met another paint manufacturer oh yeah so I met some mesm some really cool people over there is absolutely amazing on Texas Morales in Australia and in our Victoria Texas shout-out to Victoria Malus drywall Pete Wilkinson the krona guy has a character we like characters so what's up Pete Pete's actually did you know is that actually our peeps that's actually P look oh my goodness we are so like late in the dollar so that's his last name I do know that I I do know that hopefully Pete off we do saw your daughter pee she was in there yeah hopefully you didn't miss her but yeah so I will word this is crazy because what I went over to this this paintbrush booth these guys wanted to talk to me really bad for the two days and I feel really bad and I finally made it over to the booth when they were putting everything away and they were so excited and stuff and they gave me some brushes in and I don't know if I'm saying this right but it's Stoll Meister I know if you guys can see that but DC these are absolutely just the coolest brushing aside I've seen their paintbrushes I know but they're so soft I know there's stuff I know he would he was saying something like they're made out of the same material like they make for their makeup for doing makeup or something like that Oh after would love these then we better keep these away from her you know she doing her makeup with them and what was incredible is like they're so soft I think it was on like over I'm not sure where they said Dutch land or so is there such thing as a country called Dutch land they were showing me how that you know how they do cut ends it was so different and cut ends and paint and these are these are paintbrushes that became what this is a really common paint brush they don't have ink they don't make angle in angle bristles ones this is what they use and one thing that's really cool about these paint brush is that you never see as these are coated with like a lacquer coating or something like that so they'll clean off really easily but these things are super cool I cannot get wet I cannot wait to test them out and try them out and that the owner one of the owners and they're just super cool people the people the brush that make the brushes it was interesting this streem thing can anybody tell me what that string is on there for can you tell me what that string is on there for come on people come on this is a pretty interesting tell me tell me it's like it sounds like this this um string this is pretty cool as the bristles wear down because I me get rid of our brushes like pretty rad lines they last like three weeks anymore I'm from Sweden the painters will have a brush like this for so long the bristles will wear down and as the bristles wear down then all of a sudden you start to lose on the flexibility and the the brush begins it starts getting really stiff and so what you do is you undo the string you take some loops of the string out and then bring it down like halfway down out and now you have the flexibility back to hinge to the brush again it is a little bit kink right there because it's in my suitcase but it's crazy I mean these things are really cool those round brushes are great for painting can lights so Sweden we came close to Sweden so hopefully our next trip will make it up that way I'm sound Jacobs is on Thomas artists a bunch of new names on here probably because of the time it's kind of cool so poem is on so I have one thing it is um in if anybody because what the topic of today's show is extensions I'm gonna get back onto extensions why use them and that way wider but we don't like that I'm going on so I'll just take that would be my phone yeah so we're gonna be we're talking about extensions I'm gonna get back onto the extensions but we kind of wanted to just go over you know what the heck we were doing over in the UK and stuff so yeah this is really cool I started reading this book so now that I know that Pete is Pete he has Pete Pete is Pete and so it's his last name wilkinson that's so so once he's on so the questions you guys have he could answer so if he Pete Wilkinson decorators answers he actually is the author of fast and flawless and what's it a book about it's a guide to airless spraying so this is I mean it's kind of this is cool I started reading this book in last night and I start reading it last night when I got home I mean cuz I just don't sleep I don't have time to to sleep there's I mean you just got there's I got to do things so Pete and he's on here right now yes he wrote this book and so far I started reading it it's pretty cool I've wanted to write a book about my painting experiences and stuff because there's just not a whole lot out there and stuff and I had no idea that he wrote this book and that this book existed and so I'm kind of excited because there's a big need for this and I'm so far it's a really good easy read and now and I like it and and so it's kind of cool so I mean if you are new to airless brain would you recommend it oh yeah so if you're new to airless ran on here's the book that's gonna talk about it and here let me just go chocolate I'll just read the chapters real quick what chapters are in on this book which after one introduction chapter chapter two types of sprayers chapter three companies and what they offer um essential equipment chapter four chapter five using the equipment chapter six is masking Chapter seven PPE chapter eight a bit about paint chapter nine when it all goes wrong which it does trust me and um Chubb cans sprain in the real world because there's a difference between the other classroom in the real world um common paint defects and chapter 12 the last one um very practical book excellent book I mean I've even found a link it's on Amazon and I
