The project involves carefully removing the old cartridge, flushing the p-trap, installing a new cartridge assembly, and performing thorough leak tests to ensure proper functionality and prevent plumbing issues.

If your waterless urinal is starting to smell, here's how to fix it. Step one, remove the old one. I like to take these long needle nose pliers. Just piece by piece keep taking it out. I'm going to go ahead and drop this 5-gallon bucket of water down here and flush that P trap. This new cartridge included the whole housing and everything. Your old one, here is your new one. Bottom part unscrews, that's what goes into your wall. We're going to go ahead and we're going to drop this through the top. Seal on the bottom going this way along with your plastic and your nut. Ring right here. We got this ring nice and tight. All right, we got our big flange nut on there and we got that little piece connected to the wall. Gallon of water, we're going to test for leaks. A decent size leak coming right from this rubber part. So, I pulled this part off the wall. Pushed that rubber in there, turned this so it wasn't cockeyed, and it seems to be running. Let's try it again. Let's check for leaks.
