What happens here

A new set of paver stairs is constructed leading down to the basement entrance. These stairs are designed to be durable and visually integrate with the main patio. The landing at the bottom of the stairs, directly in front of the basement door, is constructed using permeable pavers. A linear drain is installed along the edge of this permeable landing, adjacent to the basement door. This entire system is designed to allow any significant water overflow to pass through the permeable pavers and into the sub-base, or to be collected by the linear drain, preventing water from entering the basement and directing it to a sump pump system or other drainage.

Goal: Provide access to the basement and implement advanced drainage to prevent water ingress.
