What happens here
The video opens with a view of a partially completed paver patio. Before laying pavers, the sub-base (typically compacted crushed stone) must be prepared and leveled. A bedding layer of sand is then spread evenly over the sub-base. Large rectangular pavers in a light grey color are then laid out, forming the main sections of the patio. These pavers are carefully placed to ensure straight lines and a level surface. A compactor, a red machine visible in the video, is used to compact the sub-base and the laid pavers, ensuring stability and preventing settling. A level, seen as a blue tool, is frequently used to check the surface for proper grading and evenness.
Goal: Establish a stable base and lay the primary paver sections.
Tools and materials

- Compactor — Compacting the sub-base and setting the pavers into the sand bed
- Level — Checking the evenness and slope of the sub-base and laid pavers
- Light Grey Rectangular Pavers — Forming the main surface of the patio
- Measuring Tape — Measuring dimensions and ensuring accurate layout
- Rubber Mallet — Gently tapping pavers into place
